OVERVIEW
The Centre for Hearing & Ear Implants has been providing transdisciplinary care to patients and their families since 2001. As a follow-up to our inaugural workshop on transdisciplinary practices in cochlear implantation, we are offering a new course which delves deeper into issues that each professional looks out for in an ideal cochlear implant candidate. With a better understanding of each other’s assessment concerns, pre- and post-implantation, we hope to communicate better within the team, as well as plan a more holistic rehabilitation programme for the patient.
OBJECTIVES
Learn about pre-surgical, audiological and rehab considerations for cochlear implantation
Learn about the potential complications of cochlear implantation
